How to join a Zoom video conference

Here's how to join a Zoom video conference:

Computer instructions

• Click on the conference URL (or copy / paste it directly in your browser)
• Follow the prompts to download and install the zoom.us app. (Beware that I have had problems with the app on Mac OS Catalina 10.15).
• If you have trouble starting the zoom.us app, you can click the conference link again and then click "start from your browser"
• Enter your name (please no nicknames like "gamerdude92119" -- I need to know who you are)
• Give permission to use the camera / microphone (if asked)
• Click Join Audio by Computer
• Click Start Video (bottom left corner)

Mobile device instructions

• Install the Zoom app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store
• Click the conference URL (or enter it directly in your browser)
• You can accept or opt-out of the privacy agreement
• Click Join Meeting
• Enter your name (please no nicknames like "gamerdude92119" -- I need to know who you are)
• Give permission to access the camera and microphone.
• Click Join with Video.
• Allow Zoom to record audio (if asked)
