Aug 10 update:
Due to significant interest shown during the 2025-26 school year by students, Mr. Jaffe plans to host a weekly club for the game: Dance Dance Revolution (DDR).
Dance Dance Revolution is a rhythm game popularized in the late 1990s. It is played with a 4-directional dance pad (instead of a standard controller) and supports up to two players. The game was immensely popular due to it being one of the first rhythm games, and because it promotes fitness and activity.
The specifics (dates, schedule, etc) are not yet decided for the 2026-2027 school year. If you wish to start, join, contribute, or inquire about the club then speak with Mr. Jaffe.
The current logistics and setups include:
playstation 2 console, and PS2-era dance pads and DDR game disks (1998-2010)
a gamehub mini-PC setup which supports Stepmania, allowing for the playing of any DDR song ever made
dance pads, 4-way directional, that support USB-2.0 connection and 9-pin SPI connection (PS2-era)
